What is Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI)?
Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) is a genetic disorder that makes the bones of an individual break easily with little trauma or without any apparent reason.
The term Osteogenesis Imperfecta simply means Imperfect Bone Formation. Another name is Brittle Bone Disease.
Our Mission:
To improve the quality of life of people living with OI in Ghana through education, awareness creation, treatments and mutual support.
Objective:
- To educate and create awareness of OI in Ghana
- To help people understand, respect, accept and improve the quality of life for people living with OI.
- To advocate for quality health care and treatment for OI patients
- To help solicit for adaptive aides and mobility equipment for people living with OI.
